Specific Need

As we focus on our mission and the healthcare needs in Geary County; this includes supporting Delivering Change. Delivering Change: Healthy Families-Healthy Communities was formed in 2011 by the Geary County Perinatal Coalition to address the maternal and infant health disparities and health outcomes in Geary County. We will be raising funds for this cause at the December 14th, 2024 "Puttin on the Glitz", the funds raised will provide Scholarships and ensure the continued success of delivering change by providing support to all Geary County Mothers, Infants, and Families. You can order your tickets and/or be a sponsor on match day and the matched amount with go towards the fundraiser. I will be at the City building on Match Day October 15, 2024 come see me!

"Our mission is to assist in providing the Healthcare needs for Geary County by raising funds to support medical necessities, improving mental health initiatives, scholarships, and other essential needs for our community".

Profile

The Geary Community Healthcare Foundation is a 501(C) (3) not-for-profit organization founded in 1987. The Foundation has raised over $7.3 Million to support the Geary Community Hospital, Healthcare programs, USD #475, Fort Riley, and Junction City. 

This year during the June Boots and Buckles event we raised over $15,000.00 (after expenses), that was presented to the Geary County Food Pantry. 

We also presented I.C.A.R.E with a check for $3,500 for equipment. We will have a Boo Bash on October 19th, raising funds for Quality Play for All and include a $3,500 check for them as well as what is raised that day. 

We just had our Fall Classic Golf Tournament on September 20th and raised over $30,000.00 (after expenses) to contintue replace the AED machines in Geary County.

As the Executive Director since January 2021, I am so impressed with the passion that I see daily within the Community of Junction City.  I have enjoyed the connections I have made and will make in the future and excited for the upcoming events. Thankful for a successful events so we can make a difference in Geary County.  I am also very thankful for my board members, golf committee, all our sponsors and volunteers!
