Goal: $2,000.00

Specific Need

Our projects are to fill community needs of health and safety in Geary County with specific interest on brain disorders.

 In the past we have donated playground equipment and sensory items to Pawnee Mental Health, handmade weighted blankets for special education classes, received and fitted helmets to children, STARS Camp, donated to the JC Fire Department Fire Pup program,  Dorothy Bramlage Library Children’s Reading Program, cookies at Christmas for the children to decorate at the library, Shop with a Cop, United Way Backpacks, and Special Olympics. Donated Pick Me Ups to promote awareness of the unique needs of families in the community.

 Our major fundraisers have been making and selling cheese logs, garage sales, online sales, and grants.

Mission

The mission of the Pilot Club of Junction City is to provide a focus on service, leadership, education and friendship in our community.  While Pilot International, Inc. is a volunteer service organization, whose purpose is to promote programs that influence positive change in communities throughout the world.  Pilot International focuses on charitable causes through education, volunteerism, financial support, and research.  

 Clubs chartered by and function under the supervision of Pilot International will be nonprofit, nonpartisan, nonsectarian and nondiscriminatory.

Profile

The Junction City Pilot Club was started in September 1961.  Pilot International was started  in 1921 in Macon Georgia by a group of businesswomen with a  purpose of improving the quality of life in their community and has grown to 20 districts and several countries.
